When you start “With Love” there are bound to be many beautiful moments and important connections - which is exactly what Ash Gillogly’s business is delivering.
Tell us about With Love.
What started as a boutique flower studio in 2017 has now blossomed into the ever-growing With Love brand. I adore making the world a prettier place and feel that I get to do that every day in my work.
We specialise in wedding and event flowers, and styling, and most recently we opened the cutest store in Wagga selling carefully curated wares for “woman, child, and the home”. With Love is a tiny place full of beautiful things - flowers, fashion, art, and most importantly smiles. It’s my happy place.
What inspired you to start With Love?
With a background in graphic design and event management, my journey started when I combined my passion for colour, organisation, and design and I found my love for floral styling in 2015. In 2017, my side hustle of creating people’s wedding flowers organically grew into a flourishing business.
What has been the most rewarding aspect of running your own business?
Meeting people - I have met so many other small business owners and clients who have really supported me a lot, who in turn have actually become some of my closest friends.
What have been some of the challenges you have faced in starting your own business?
Having such a new business when COVID arrived was obviously a HUGE challenge - especially a business where 90% of income came from the wedding and event industry which had literally folded overnight.
The challenge of COVID however has really made With Love the brand it is today. It was the driving force for the real beginning of the gift collective and most recently the challenge of juggling two businesses while raising a young family.
What’s the best piece of business advice that you have ever received?
“Find your niche” - as a creative person this advice really resonates with me. It’s so important to find something you’re good at and do it well. Creating your niche will make you stand out, set you apart, and in turn help you create long-lasting relationships with clients that work for you.
How do you balance work and life responsibilities?
Life is incredibly busy and I’m definitely not nailing this one, some weeks the juggle just works and everything goes to plan and falls into place and other weeks it’s total chaos.
In the words of the intelligent and beautiful Stefi from Celia Loves “Balance is Bullshit”. It’s OK to not have it all together and sometimes trying to have a perfect balance is setting you up for failure.
Where do you envision yourself in five years?
In five years I hope With Love the brand has continued to bloom. We dream of having a beautiful big shop filled with colour, flowers, and Australian bespoke brands in downtown Wagga Wagga and continue to work on exciting collaborations with amazing small businesses and creatives.
What’s on the horizon for With Love Bespoke Styling in 2023?
I have so many dreams for With Love in 2023. We are totally booked out for our 2023 weddings, I can’t wait to work closely with all my clients to bring their botanical dreams to life and create magic for their Best Day Ever!
Throughout 2023 our goal is to grow our Gift Collective - we have so many new and amazing brands to introduce this year, and we have some wonderful collaborations in the making. Collaboration is definitely key. The small business community in Wagga and beyond is amazing and together we can achieve big things.
