Australia’s favourite showgirl, Rhonda Burchmore, will share songs, stories and secrets with regional audiences in February 2022.

Mention the name Rhonda Burchmore and there would be few (to zero) Australians who don’t immediately picture the vivacious, red-haired entertainer who proudly calls Down Under home.

Boasting an illustrious career spanning 40 years, Rhonda’s highlights include performances in London’s West End alongside Mickey Rooney and Ann Miller in Sugar Babies, opposite David Atkins in the original Hot Shoe Shuffle and opening the Crown Casino with her own cabaret aptly named Red, Hot & Rhonda. Of course, who could forget her (off-stage) winning performance on Australia’s I’m a Celebrity Get me Out of Here!

As if her stage performances weren’t incredible enough, she has also recorded five albums and was awarded the OAM for her service to the performing arts and community.

Suffice to say, the Capitol Theatre, Tamworth, is thrilled to be welcoming Australia’s favourite showgirl to our stage in 2022, when Rhonda will be performing her own show GLAMAZONIA on 26 February.

She’ll take centre stage to share songs, stories and secrets about surviving four decades in one of the world’s most formidable industries. From London’s West End to the depths of the South African jungle, the Glamazonia herself will exhilarate audiences on a high-octane thrill ride through 40 years of entertainment.

Featuring icons of pop music, Rhonda will interpret hits like Katy’s Perry Roar, Helen Reddy’s I Am Woman, Cher’s If I Could Turn Back Time and Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive for a musical extravaganza unlike any other. Rhonda’s humour and spirit will shine through as she recounts hilarious anecdotes and belts out show stopping renditions.

To delight audiences, Rhonda will be backed by a sizzling hot band plus tantalising toy boys to help her burn up the dance floor. There will be no shortage of glamour, with glittering ensembles and gowns galore, giving audiences everything they’ve come to love and expect from Ms B.
